Demetrius Spaneas, CCIM, has led a diverse and accomplished life, excelling in various fields. He is an internationally acclaimed composer, public speaker, world traveler, cultural diplomat, college professor, consultant, and currently serves as the president, broker, and co-owner of Land and Sea Real Estate, Inc.
As a composer, Demetrius has received critical acclaim for his music, which has been performed in prestigious venues throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. His repertoire encompasses a wide range of genres, including two operas, symphonic and chamber works, and compositions for film and television. He has collaborated with notable clients such as HBO, the NFL, and the MLB Fan Cave in New York City, and has received numerous awards for his music, including a special certificate from the Russian Duma (Senate) for "Enhancing the Cultural Life of St. Petersberg" through his work with the U.S. Embassy in Russia. Additionally, Demetrius is an accomplished saxophonist who has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Dionne Warwick, Three Dog Night, and the Funk Brothers, among others.
He holds both a bachelors and masters degree in music from the New England Conservatory. His composition teachers include Chinary Ung (UCSD), Daniel Pinkham, John Heiss, and Robert Ceely.
Demetrius is a captivating and sought-after speaker. He has delivered talks on a wide range of topics, including American history and culture, business and marketing, and the creative process for artists and non-artists alike. As a Fulbright Scholar in American Studies, he has shared his expertise and insights across the United States, Europe, the former U.S.S.R., and China.
Throughout his career, Demetrius has served as a cultural diplomat, collaborating with esteemed organizations such as the U.S. Embassy system, UNESCO, the Fulbright Commission, and various international academic and cultural institutions. His efforts have focused on promoting American culture abroad and fostering connections between artists and businesses from diverse cultures and countries.
As president, broker, and co-owner of Land and Sea Real Estate, Demetrius Spaneas is a highly influential figure in the business world. With an extensive network of high net worth international investors and prominent business groups across major U.S. cities, Demetrius is passionate about facilitating successful business opportunities by bringing people and projects together throughout the U.S.
He holds the distinguished CCIM designation, the highest international designation for commercial real estate investment, and is the 2024 President for the New England CCIM Chapter.
